Attorney, Leonard A. Sloane, Esq., is Chair of the Litigation and Personal Injury Department. He has won numerous awards and statewide recognition after nearly five decades litigating car accident, medical malpractice, products liability, and other personal injury cases. Attorney, Matthew J. Bilker, Esq., focuses primarily on personal injury litigation, general civil litigation, and municipal court matters. Matthew is a member of both the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bars. He has conducted CLEs and seminars on behalf of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and the Delaware County Bar Association. He is currently serving on the Executive Board of the Delaware County Bar Association’s Board of Directors. He was previously named on the Rising Stars list from 2019 to 2021, and this is his first year being selected to the Super Lawyers list.
Attorney, Jonathan E. Becker, Esq., concentrates his practice on estate planning, estate and trust administration, and complex tax matters in both private practice and with institutional trustees. Attorney, Joseph E. Lastowka, Jr., Esq., was featured nationally for the first court decision ordering the IRS to pay a taxpayer’s legal fees. An elected Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and Member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Joe has prepared wills and trusts for more than 6,500 individuals and has served as legal counsel for the settlement of more than 1,300 estates or trusts. He has been selected to the Super Lawyers list each year from 2008 to 2023.
Attorney, Craig B. Huffman, Esq., focuses his practice on family law and Orphans’ Court litigation. Craig has lectured on a wide range of family law topics, including divorce, child custody, child support, equitable distribution, and protection from abuse matters. He served as President of the Delaware County Bar Association and is the only attorney to serve twice as Chairperson of the Delaware County Bar Association Family Law Section. Attorney, Kathleen Piperno, Esq., exclusively practices family law, including divorce, child support, child custody, equitable distribution, and protection from abuse. She has been an appointed Special Master in Divorce for the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas and a Court Appointed Child Advocate for over 10 years. She is a proud author of Fearless in Heels, a fictional book based on true stories of survivors of domestic violence. Kathleen has been selected to the Super Lawyers list from 2020 to 2023.
Attorney, Melanie E. Tunaitis, Esq., is an Associate in the firm’s Family Law Department. A native of Delaware County, Melanie has strived to achieve her educational and career goals for close to 20 years. In 2020, Melanie served as Chairperson of the Family Law Section of Delaware County, and she was also Chairperson of the Legal Education Committee of the Family Law Section for several years. She has been selected to the Rising Stars list each year from 2019 to 2023.
Attorney, Vasiliki Gouliaberis, Esq., concentrates on all areas of family law. Vasiliki was a research assistant for a Family Law Custody Course while earning her J.D. from Temple University. Prior to joining Eckell Sparks, Vasiliki gained extensive experience handling family law, education law, municipal law, and general civil litigation matters at firms in Media and Philadelphia. She has been selected to the Rising Stars list for the last two years.
